West Michigan Islamic Center (WMIC)

West Michigan Islamic Center was founded on 2010 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States of America. Our community is made up of over 100 families from diverse ethnic groups. West Michigan Islamic Center is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization with tax exemption status.

 

WMIC programs focus on educating people based on the authentic teaching of Holy Qur’an and the confirmed tradition of the Holy Prophet and his Pure Progeny (Ahl-al-Bait). Furthermore, WMIC has an active interfaith office that works within the local community, representing Islam in churches, synagogues, mosques, colleges, and other faith organizations.

WMIC leaders are professionals with different educational backgrounds, including students and parents.  The center has a culture focusing on education and strong youth participation. Our programs run in both Arabic and English such as, daily jamaa prayers, dua programs, Quran tafsir classes, various yearly events on Ramadan / Moharam / Safar, Arabic classes, etc …

Over the years, the WMIC has empowered leaders dedicated to serve in the community and provide different religious programs to audience of all ages.
